In this award winning MG series, an adventurous young girl stumbles into a realm of magic hidden in the wilds of Idaho that is plagued by a tyrannical creature. She faces a life-threatening curse as she struggles to find courage, strength, and her way home.
Alicia’s life is turned upside down when the barrier between the regular world and the magical realm of the Wild Side collapses. Strange forces spill into her beloved lake area, and Alicia discovers something incredible: she has a rare and powerful magic inside her, tied to the land and its delicate balance.
But this discovery also brings danger.
A destructive entity from the Wild Side, fueled by hatred, threatens Alicia’s lake - a place that feels like a
part of her soul - and could unravel both the magical and regular worlds. As she learns to wield her newfound powers, Alicia realizes that her love for her home, her family, and her friends might be the key to saving everything she holds dear.
This third installment in the Wild Side trilogy of books (formerly Moose Beach trilogy) brings together everything readers love about the series: magical adventure, emotional depth, and big questions about courage, love, and protecting the world around us. If you are new to this MG series, don’t worry - you can still jump in and enjoy Alicia’s journey!

" This is a well-written book with some amazing characters, all developed to the point where you feel like you know them as well as you know your own friends and family. The writing is compelling and engages you all the way through, its descriptive nature taking you on Alicia’s journey with her. It has plenty of action and adventure, perfectly written for a YA audience, although, as an adult, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it!"

“I would not change anything about this book, it fits well with the rest of the series and I think it does its job to end the story nicely (not saying I wouldn’t LOVE another book).”

"I’ll admit I did shed a few tears. Tawny was brave, brilliant, clever, determined, and strong. If I was Alicia, I’d secretly adopt Tawny in some way. Thrilling and intense. The book is amazing and I enjoyed reading it. All in one day.”
" Such a warm and comfy read, grab and a nice cup of tea and some cookies, it will set the perfect tone to read a book like this. Amazing experience... this book took me back on my childhood imaginations.
Love it and definitely recommend it. "
“Resilient and resourceful, Alicia packs a bag… and heads into the wild. Witnessing her self-sufficiency on this solo quest is a delight, especially as she discovers her own strength along the way. Alicia builds fires, forages, and fishes like a true survivalist, opening opportunities for young readers with the possibilities that she represents. Even more inspiring is the persistence of her spirit. Knowing that it’s up to her to save the day, Alicia never, ever gives up, even when myriad disappointments come her way.”
